Use cookie cutters to cut out fun shapes. Add glitter to make your Play Doh sparkle. Add different colors of food coloring to make several colors of Play Doh. The ideas are endless.
Traditional Play Doh Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 teaspoons cream of tarter
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1/4 cup salt
- Food coloring of your choice
Directions:
- Mix the first 5 ingredients together in medium a saucepan.
- Add a few drops of food color until the desired color is reached.
- Stir over medium heat until smooth.
- Remove from pan and knead together until blended smooth.
- Store in a airtight container or a plastic bag.
Optional: Add a little bit of glitter to make your Play Doh sparkle.
Tip: If the Play Doh is too sticky, knead in more flour.

Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup salt
- 2 teaspoons cream of tarter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons oil
- 1 cup boiling water
Directions:
- Mix the first 4 ingredients together in a medium bowl; blend thoroughly.
- Add the cooking oil and boiling water; mix and knead until smooth.
Optional: Add a little bit of glitter to make your Play Doh sparkle.
Tip: If the Play Doh is too sticky, knead in more flour.

I might be a bit old for this, but I'm almost tempted to make some Play-Doh myself. I loved it when I was a small child.
I suppose the salt prevents it from going off, so it can be put away and used again and again.
Is it still non-toxic with glitter?
